January 2011

A couple days into January we went over to Owen and Emily's house to help them pack up a few things for their move up to Washington.  Here the boys are entertained with the our portable dvd player because their's was already packed away.
Trey turned 5 years old on January 3.  He is getting so big.  Trey is such a nice guy. He is always concerned for others, except when Keegan is pestering him to no end.  He's going to pre-school, and likes it once he's come home.  Trey likes to dress up, most recently as Mario and Luigi. He likes Woody from Toy Story and lego's. He also likes to play the Wii, V-smile and computer games. I really have to regulate his game playing habbit. :)  He's pretty picky about food, but I  know he'll always eat cereal.  He's only five and can pretty much take care of himself.  He likes to think so, anyway. He's a fun guy and we love him a lot.

Here is Trey's cake.  One of his gifts was a hot wheels playset with Buzz Lightyear on the car. "To infinity and beyond." So I decided to use that and make him a hot wheels cake, with Buzz about to take the leap.
Singing happy birthday to Trey.
Chase finally lost a tooth that was loose for forever.  It was almost sticking straight out. Our neighbor talked him into letting her pull it out. She gave him a dollar.

Annette and I went to Robin & Dustin's to help them pack up and get ready for their move.  We were able to pack lots of stuff. The boxes were really heavy. I felt bad for the guys having to pick them up. This is Grandma reading a story to Keegan and Macy.
Here are the cousins watching a show together.

Here are Annette and Tricia making the yummiest dessert ever.  Molten Chocolate cake. It was quite splendid.

We decided that it would be fun to buy a coconut from the grocery store.  We had a bit of trouble figuring out how to open it, but with a bit of searching on u-tube we got it open.  The boys loved it and thought that it was the coolest thing ever.

One weekend the family all got together for Rachel's babies blessing.  We had a nice time together.  After the blessing we all went to this fun lodge to eat and it was really nice.  Too bad it's not closer to our house.

The kids had lots of fun sliding down the stairs.  Oh to be little again.

We had three different soups, yummy rolls and delicious desserts.  I couldn't eat much of the dessert, because of my gestational diabetes, but savored each bite.

On the 29th of January my friend Erin threw a shower for me.  It was lots of fun and we had lots of friends come and drop by.
Here is the table of yummy food from the shower. Yum Yum!!
