Christmas Fun

Just before Christmas it snowed and we were able to have a white Christmas. They boys and Sterling went sledding with Garold pulling them along. The puppy cowboy is running behind them. The Sunday before Christmas I dressed the boys in their little matching vests. They looked cute. We tried to get a cute family picture after church, but this was as good as we could get. It's still nice though.
On the 23rd we had a treat. Santa Claus came to visit the boys. They were so excited! He told them to be good. Sterling likes to go out and play Santa to the neighbors. He brought them a poem, an ornament with Jesus inside and some sugar cookies. When he came to the boys Trey caught on and said, "My dad Santa" I don't think we'll be able to use Sterling next year with the boys.
My cousin Josh, Mollie and their three boys came to visit us on their way up to Washington. It was so fun to have them come visit.

Chase, Talon and Trey just being boys and having fun.

This is Sterling with four of the six boys that were at our house on Christmas Eve morning. We have a traditional Norwegian breakfast of Rise grøt or rice porridge. Very yummy.

Christmas Eve day we ate lunch at Chuck-O-Rama and then we all picked names with everyone who was in the area and we went Shopping. We bought a gift and then went to Grandma Beus's and exchanged gifts.

After the gift exchange we went to Uncle Sam's house and had Oyster Stew, Clam Chowder and tons of other yummy food. I honestly have never tried the Oyster Stew, I'm not brave enough. But everything else tasted great and it was nice to see everyone.

I had to take this picture of the guys huddled around the computer.

Christmas Eve Night we stayed out pretty late at Sam and Barb's. Our drive home was kind of scary. The roads were terrible. I can't believe we didn't get stuck in the snow somewhere. By the time we made it home it was past 11:00 PM and the boys still had to open their pj's and get to bed. It was an exciting day for all of them.

So, Christmas morning was tons of fun. We stayed up until 2:30 A.M. wrapping presents. I should have wrapped them sooner. In the morning Sterling was so excited to get going that he woke me and the kids up at 7:00 or so. Not much sleep, but lots of fun. These are the cookies the kids left for Santa, we were going to make cute sugar cookies, but never had time. Chase wanted to leave Santa some crackers too.

This is a picture of the tree and presents before the kids woke up.

Here are me and the kids walking out to see what Santa had brought.

The cute little man and his first Christmas pajamas.

Chase and Keegan

Dad, Keegan and Trey

After opening our presents we went to Grandma & Grandpa Johnston's house to see what was going on over there. We played with Rochelle and Dustin's family all day. The kids stayed in their pj's all day.

This is Trey's most recent thing that he likes to do. He kept eating his toes on Christmas morning.

The day after Christmas we ventured out to Utah. The freeway heading South was closed, so we had to go through Pocatello to make it to Tremonton. The kids were so good, even little Keegan. We only had to stop one time for a few minutes for the little guy. This is a picture of the boys at Grandma & Grandpa Larsen's house.
Keegan opening a present.

Chase and Laura in their Cubs hats.

Chase helped Grandpa Larsen shovel snow outside. He's such a big guy.

The snowman Aunt Laura and the boys made. They love snowman and they pretend to be frosty the snowman all the time at home. We build them and then put a hat on their head and they come to life. They sure love it.

Playing games and eating yummy German cookies. My sister made us a yummy Turkey dinner. It's kind of funny because she doesn't like to cook meat, and she really doesn't like turkey, but she made it and it was great!
