Memorial Day

On Monday we had a nice day. We had a BBQ with everyone here and Owen & Emily came out to play with us for the day. That evening we drove to Boise. The guys were going to go to some speedways to watch cars race, but it was rained out, so we all went to Owen & Emily's to watch a movie. We had a nice time. During the day I did reflect a bit on what I used to do a youngster on Memorial Day. I miss those times. We had nice family gatherings at the different cemeteries in Central Utah. We would put flowers on the graves and then we would chat with our cousins and learn the stories of those ancestors who's graves we were visiting. We would then go back to our grandparents and have a nice family dinner. I think that all too often now, people don't take the time on Memorial Day to remember those who have gone before us. It's a nice tradition that I would like to do with my children, so that they have an appreciation for their ancestors, and grow to love them.

Rexburg

Last weekend Annette, the boys and I drove to Rexburg. We had a bit of a time getting there. Poor little Chase got sick and threw up on the way, but he seemed pretty ok after we go there. Poor little guy. We had lots of fun. The boys and I stayed with Ellis and Mary in their new home. It is very nice. We were able to go take a tour of Rhonda and Blake's new home too. I love how Ronda is redoing the cabinets by herself. I'm excited for all of them. It's fun having your own place. Friday night we took the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. They loved it. It's crazy I forgot how little time it takes to get anywhere in Rexburg. We left 5 minutes before the show started and made it in time. Here you have to leave like 45 min. to an hour early. Crazy
On Saturday Rochelle & her fam, Robin & Raina came in and we all met at Ellis & Mary's for Rhonda's baby shower. We had a fun family one for her. She got some fun stuff for her little guy. That night we went to my nieces Hayley & Morgan's dance recital. That did a good job. It was fun to be able to go and see them. I loved being there. I wish it didn't take so long to get over that way. I so miss everyone, I love to visit.

Anniversary

On May 10th we had our 6th Anniversary. It's crazy how the time flies by so fast. It feels like we've always been together but then it feels like we just barely got married not very long ago too. Well, for our Anniversary Annette watched our kids while we went out to eat. We rented a movie and we also went to the grocery store. Kind of a random activity for your anniversary, but it was fun. We got some treats and had fun walking around by ourselves and just spending some alone time to talk without anyone crying or interrupting. It was a lot of fun. I'm posting a picture of us that we took right before we left. It was pretty fun.

Birthday Party - Preschool Grad

On May 7 was Chases Birthday. He is now 4 years old. I can hardly believe it has been 4 years. He had a fun little party. His cake was curious George. I can't believe the cake turned out so well. It was actually pretty cute. Chase got a tractor and a baseball mit and some boots so he can move pipe with dad.

On May 5th was Chase's last day of preschool for the year. They sang for us all and each got something fun from Miss Krissy their teacher. Chase is already talking about going back next year.

Stuff Stuff Stuff

I haven't written on here for forever. So much has happened since I last wrote. My sister came and played for a few days. It was so fun! We stayed up late every night. We went to the park and had a picnic and played on the toys. There is a picture of Laura and the boys on a bench at the park and me and the boys eating our lunch. Then the three little men fell asleep on our way home. They had a busy day. Poor little guys.

Laura took a picture of our family walking down the street. It was a fun little picture. For any of you who don't know our house is the one behind us.

This is a cute little picture of the three boys.
