My this month has just flown by. I can't believe it's been a month since I posted. Ok, so I found my camera. Yeah!! It has a broken screen, but it still snaps pictures. Phew! I just have to point and shoot and hope I'm getting a good shot. :)
Little Keegan thought that his new little cousin Evie was something pretty neat. He had to come over and see what everyone was looking at.
This past Thursday my sister-in-law Emily had a Dove Chocolate party. It was tons of fun and oh so yummy. Here is a picture of Chase, Trey and Grandma admiring cousin Evie.
This past week the water was turned on. Over the a Winter months we got a new pipeline up to our house. When the water came on, it became a muddy mess behind our house. The boys just loved it and had a blast. The next day that wagon was pretty stuck and dried into the ground, and was pretty hard to get out.
Chase had mud from head to toe. He was quite a muddy mess. Trey was pretty muddy too.
So, if you've ever seen Herby Fully Loaded, there is a scene where Herby lands in the back of a monster truck. My kids totally love anything Herby. They sing the little Herby song, as we call it, while they race their little Volkswagon bugs around the house. When they saw this Truck in Nampa, they just loved it. Trey couldn't stop stareing. Chase and Keegan were asleep at first and little Trey was doing anything he could to wake them up.
So, I decided to make my garden bigger this year. I used to have two small garden boxes, but I talked Sterling into finding me a couple more railroad ties and I threw it together. My two boxes share a side but thats ok. I can grow a ton more stuff now. Sterling brought me some dirt, so the boxes are all full and look great. I just need to plant now.
I wanted to take a family picture of us on Easter Sunday, but everyone was home and changed before I could get a picture of us all. So, we tried to take one the week after. As you can see we had some difficulty. Out of all the pictures we snapped this is the only one you can see everyone's faces. Oh well. At least we tried. They still look pretty cute.
Sterling came in and picked us up a couuple weeks ago and asked us to come help him. He needed some little hands to stickdown a pipe and clean out a birds nest. I ended up cleaning most of it out because I have long arms as well as smaller hands than the guys. Sterling told us not too worry there were no birds in there, but I was sure worried about grabbing something scary.
After lunch on Easter Sunday the kids had an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Johnston's house. This year we thought we were pretty genious. We were kind of sick of all the candy that we get for every holiday that comes around. I don't want to kids to turn into sugar. So instead of candy in their eggs we put gold fish crackers and these little chocolate bunny cookie things. I also cut up some stickers and stuck in a couple of them too.
Treyton and his Easter Eggs at Grandmas house.
Chase and his bag of Eggs. Chase was really a speedy egg finder. We had to slow him down so the other little men could get some.
Here is the only picture of anyone in their nice clothes on Easter Sunday. Cute little Keegan in his cute new tie. All the boys and Sterling got new ties from the Easter Bunny.
Here are the big boys finding eggs Easter Morning. The each got a bucket with a shovel for their Easter basket. Our tradition for Easter morning is that the boys wake up and find the real eggs we colored along with 12 other eggs. In each of these other 12 eggs are pieces of paper that tell the story off Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection. There are also little things in each egg to go along with the story, such as a nail or a stone etc. It is a fun way to talk about what Easter is about. Later on they get eggs filled with edible stuff.
Here is Keegan Easter morning, he wasn't too excited to find eggs. He mostly just stood around and tried to Eat everyones Cadbury eggs and Reeses eggs.
After the Easter egg hunt the Saturday before Easter Tricia and Dana helped us color eggs. It was pretty fun.
Me and the boys after the Easter egg hunt in Homedale. We almost didn't make it. I thought it was at a different park. We drove to three different parks trying to find it. I finally asked someone and we made it just in time.
Chase kept saying that he wanted Trisha's sister Dana to help him, but when we came to the park he decided he wanted me to take him. Trisha took Trey and Dana took Keegan, who suprisingly didn't cry. Neither one of them picked up any eggs though. Oh well.
Chase was pretty speedy at picking up the eggs. after we got to the other side of the field we noticed a little boy who got there just a bit too late and didn't pick up any eggs. He was crying and very sad. Chase gave the little boy one of his eggs. That was so nice of him.
Here is Chase with his Easter bunny basket waiting patiently for the hunt to start.
The boys all made their very own Easter basket out of a milk carton. The put cotton balls for the little tail.
Trey is a cookie man. He loves to frost cookies.
We made some Easter Sugar cookies. They were yummy and fun. We left out a couple for the Easter bunny to nibble.
The Friday before Easter we went to school with Dad aka Sterling ;) After dropping dad off we went to D&B and looked at the baby chicks. We stayed there forever, they loved them.
Here is Chases pre-school class at their little Easter Program.
The first week or so of April we went ove to Tadd and Megan Baker's house for Pancakes and coloring eggs. We all had fun over there with them.
The whole crew at Grandma and Grandpa Johnston's for General Conference. I made a bingo game for the kids to play while they watched. Chase really enjoyed it and I think he learned a bit too.
The Sunday morning of General Conference the Johnston family has a very fun tradition. They eat waffles with ice cream. I had never heard of anyone doing this before. It is a very fun treat and quite a fun tradition.
The boys love it outside and that is where they always need to be. I'm so excited that it is now getting warmer.
My sis Laura and I decided to take Chase skiing at the end of March. I only cost us $10 a piece for night skiing, so that was great. I was so excited for the little man, and he was too. When we first got there it was really pretty cold. Chase was not too happy to be there because it was so cold. I was pretty cold too. I thought we were going to call it an early night.
Laura and Chase were quite the snow buddies. We decided to eat and get some hot cocoa. Afterwards. I went did two runs by myself. Then as Laura was taking a couple runs I took Chase back out. He loved it.
When it finally came time to leave I could not get Chase to leave. We finally told him they were going to close. He thought they were going to lock us in up there, I didn't tell him other wise because I wanted him to leave with us. It was great fun, I hope we can take Trey with us next year.
Here was our game night over at Aden and Tricia's house. It was fun. We should have done it more often. I sure enjoyed visiting them or having them over while they were living over here.
