September busy, busy, busy

Roxy, Johnathan and their kids came to visit. His brother was getting off his mission, so they came up for that and got to visit. It was fun to see them and spend some time together.

We have a four day school week, so we got a long weekend for Labor day. We left Thursday after school and stayed in Jerome at Aunt Robin and Dustins, then we went on down to Tremonton to play with Grandma and Grandpa Larsen. We went to the park and played outside and had a fun time.

This is the tree I used to climb all the time. I climbed way up in it and then the kids wanted to climb up too.

On Saturday we went to Ogden to meet up with Aunt Laura and went the the Dinosaur park there. It was such a neat place. The kids absolutely loved it.

In this picture there were some animated dinosaurs. When I took Chase into the room he was not too sure about it, and started backing up pulling my hand. I reassured him that they were not real.

Outside they had bunches of dinosaurs to walk around and see. They had a place to dig up dinosaur bones and a playground. It was so much fun. The kids still talk about it.

On Sunday we went to the baby blessing of my niece Rachel's daughter Angela. She's a cute little thing. There were five babies being blessed in that ward that day. I have never been in a Sacrament meeting where there were five babies being blessed.

After the blessing and lunch in Burley we headed on to Rexburg. We spent the night at Blake & Rhonda's house where everyone there came over for dinner. The next day we all got together for breakfast and then headed to the park. We played kick ball. It was the greatest thing for a big group of all ages to play. We were easy on the little guys and hard on the big guys. We had a fun time.

I love this picture of Trey, Luke and Chase. They are such nice friends and love to play together.

We had some cement work done on our graineries and the boys just had to sit and watch all the goings on.

Here is the cement truck going in the grainery. With the left over cement they made us a little slab to step on as you step off our porch stairs. It looks really nice.

Here is Trey on his first day of school. I was a little wondering how it would go. How things would be different between he and Chase's first day of pre-school. Trey didn't cry at all. He went in and started playing with the trains and he was good to go. He really likes it.

One day this month I made six pies. We gave five away and saved one for us. Chase decided that our pie would be a whole lot better if he decorated it with sprinkles and put the headband I wore for my wedding right in the middle. He suprised me, wow, was I suprised. That was the most interesting pumpkin pie I have ever eaten.

Trey with his name after pre-school. I've realized that Trey likes to destroy the things he makes at pre-school as soon as he gets home. So, I've decided that if I take a picture of him holding it as soon as he gets in the door, then I don't have to worry. I can document it, he destroys it and I throw it away.

We had some trouble with the combine after the guys were done combining the Teff one evening. Our neighbor was combining for us and he was driving down the road with Sterling. The auger had been left out and they unkowingly hit a power pole. They knocked it over before the could get stopped. Sterling said sparks were flying everywhere. It was a crazy evening.

On the 17th Sterling and I had a night out. Some of our friends gave us a gift certificate to the anniversary inn and so we decided to go. It was such an awesome place. We loved it. We picked out the Romeo and Juliet suite.

There was a winding staircase up to where the bed was ontop of what looked like a balcony.

The tv was pretty cool. It was projected onto the side of the wall. You could see it from upstairs or downstairs. It was pretty cool. They gave you all kinds of food too. Cheese cake, sparkling cider, snacks in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Plus there were warm cookies waiting for us when we arrived. It was a nice place. We will definetly go again someday.

This is a picture of our friends and neighbors, MaryAnn, Brooke, and Ginger. MaryAnn and Ginger were baptised on the 19th of September. It was a fun special day. I gave the talk on baptism. I was really nervous, even though it was only five minutes. It went pretty ok, I think. Sterling was able to baptism them and it was really nice. He was a little worried to because he had only said the baptism prayer in spanish, so he practiced beforehand to make sure he'd get it right.

Chase decided that he want to make a pack to go out with. He went out and found a stick and one of my not so nice washclothes and made himself a nice little pack. I thought it looked really great.

They started digging potatoes by our house and so we went to watch. We went out into the field and Chase found this really crazy potato that he just had to show everyone.

We rented out half of our farm to a guy who planted it all in potatoes which we have never had on our farm before. It was kind of fun to have something different. The kids really like watching them dig the potatoes.

Annettes sister Areta came to visit for a few days and we were able to each breakfast and dinner with them and chat for awhile. It was nice to catch up.
