Grandma & Grandpa Larsen's House

In July we had a fun trip to Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's house. The first night we were all there together was a bit stressful though. Keegan started to feel hot. He wasn't feeling well. I gave him some tylenol and was just trying to make him comfy when he threw up all over me. I put him in the tub and cleaned him up fast. Poor little guy was shivering like crazy. We bundled him up and handed him to my dad where he fell asleep. Not long after he had a seisure. My dad came running and told me to get in the car we're going to the hospital. Keegan stopped breathing on the way which scared me really bad. I also drove to the old hospital in Tremonton, I forgot they had a new one. Anyway, after a long evening of poking and prodding the poor little boy, he was able to go home. Everything was ok and by the next night he was pretty much back to normal. Whew, why does everything go wrong when you're on vacation. He ended up having an ear infection, that is why he had the fever in the first place. Poor little man.

Keegan at the hospital with all the stuff all over him. He was a pretty sad little guy.
Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows with Grandma Larsen and Aunt Laura.
Eating in the back yard with Laura. The boys also got to sleep in a tent with Laura too. They had tons of fun.

Me, Laura and Jen at the Premier of the New Harry Potter 6 show. We were pretty lucky. We were able to see it at 9:00 P.M. and the show didn't really come out until Midnight. In the theater they handed us all out water and they were passing out all kinds of prizes. It was crazy, but great! I really enjoyed the show, I thought it had some fun humor in it. Of course it was sad at the end, but good.

So, before we went to the movies I made my sister take me to the Ikea store there in Utah. I loved the place. I'm such a nerd because I think it would be awesome to take Sterling there on a date. We could eat and look at furniture. I wish we had one in Boise.
This is Laura's place. Her bedroom is the window right there on the bottom floor. It's a pretty nice little place they have there.

Before going back up to Tremonton from Draper we went up and Laura showed me the new temple there. It was really neat because from up there we could see the Oaker Mountain Temple and the Jordan River temple. What a beautiful view.

The Jordan River Temple

Me in front of the Draper Temple. It was very beautiful up there.

We went shopping one day in Logan, and then on to play at the park. Here's Laura with her popcorn chicken.

Keegan and Grandma Larsen going down the slide at the park.

While at the park the ice cream truck came by. Since we live way out in the country we don't get ice cream trucks coming by, so I had to run Chase over and grab an ice cream for all the boys. Chase chose to get them all spiderman ice cream. They loved it!

Across the street from the park was a little zoo. It was about 50 cents to go in and there were a lot of fun things to see.

The boys did sparklers one night. It really took us some time to even get them to hold the sparklers. They were pretty afraid of them, but then they got used to the idea and liked it.

I just quite enjoyed this picture. The boys fell asleep one afternoon and they ended up in a pretty uncomfortable looking position. It's amazing how kids can sleep through almost anything sometimes, but then when you want them to sleep it's impossible.

One evening we played ball with Grandpa and Grandma. Keegan thought it was pretty fun to try to hit the ball.

Here is Trey playing catch with Grandpa. They had to throw it to Keegan a little too. He didn't want to be left out of anything.

We also had a car washing party that was great fun. The kids loved it and wanted to help out a bundle. We had two shiny looking new cars after it all. Wow!

Since we don't have a driveway or sidewalk, we thought that this would be a great time to teach chase how to ride his bike. I was actually really suprised at how fast he caught on. It took less than an hour I'm sure. We had just never tried before, I think he could have been riding his bike for a long time.

Here is chase riding his bike for the first time, wahooo.

I just thought this was a cute picture of Grandpa reading the boys a story.

Larsen Family Reunion

The second weekend in July we went down to the Larsen Family reunion in Fairview, Utah. It was so nice to see all my cousing and Aunts and Uncles. We had fun eating and chatting and playing games.

Sterling and Keegan sitting waiting for the reunion to start.
Me and the Keegster eating our yummy food!

Chase and Trey with Grandma Larsen. They have a treat from a game that they played.

The adults played a fun game answering questions about our Parents and Grandparents. My cousin made a fun playing board of my Grandparents house and surrounding areas. It was an awesome board and we sure learned some fun things about our Grandparents.

There is an awesome playground there in Fairview. The boys just loved it. Sterling had some fun playing on it too.

This is part of my Grandpa's farm. The small pasture is where they kept their horses Buster and Blaze and behind is the milk barn and the hay barn and some other buildings.

This house is where my Great Great Grandmother Larsen used to live. All growing up it was vacant. Someone is living there now, but the outside has pretty much stayed the same.

These pretty flowers are at Sterling's Aunt Areta's home. Her husband is quite the gardener and has some very beautiful flower bed and a small creek lined with rocks that runs through the property.

After a trip over to Nephi to visit my Grandmother Penrod and see my uncle Jim we went on over to Ephraim to stay with Josh and Mollie. We had a great time chatting with them. The showed us the new home they are building and it was really exciting!!

I just had to snap this picture of cute little Trey. He is my sleeper and is so cute!

Silver City

Rolinda and her girls were able to come for a bit and we had a really nice time together. Karen, Sterling's cousin also came and played with us.

Here is Brindisi holding a mouse. It's crazy the found it and stuck it in this glass bottle.

All of us enjoying a nice meal out in the yard over at Garold and Annettes.

Me and Keegan just having some fun.

While everyone was here we went to this place called Silver City. It was a really cool old mining town. I guess it's a ghost town. But it's been upkept. It was neat to see how things were back in the day.

The kids all got in the back of the car while we were sitting and I thought they looked pretty cute and squished. There is Chase, Elena, Porter & Trey.

Here is a picture of the front of a couple of the buildings there in Silver City.

Everyone standing in front of a building, Ster, Trey & Chase are walking along.

This little building a brew vat. You could look inside it and they had some fun little trinkets and things of the town in there. It was pretty fun!

We found this fun truck and the boys just loved it. We let them play in and around it for awhile.

In front of one of the houses there was a rock snowman. It drew all the kids over to it really fast.

Sterling, Bridisi, Elena & Porter just waiting for everyone to come down the road.

This little house was one of two powder houses. They were way in front of the town and made really quite thick. The were placed this way, so that if they blew up, hopefully it wouldn't hurt anyone.
Rolinda taking the boys for a walk. Cowboy of course always has to follow. He dosen't ever want to be left out.

Independence Day Celebrating

On Thursday we went to the Vale, Oregon Suicide Horse Race
I had never gone to the race before, but I had heard a lot about it. The riders come down this steep mountain trail. There were only five racers. I thought there would have been a lot more, but I quickly learned why there aren't so many.

A horse went down, going end over end. From where we were, it looked like the rider was run over by the horse coming down behind, but he was ok, so I'm guessing the horse missed him. After this moment we never saw the white horse again. We saw the vet and others working on him up there, but we never saw the horse. My guess is that it didn't turn out well.

Here is a picture of a rider coming past us and toward the water which they go through, and then on into the stadium.

Me with Chase and Trey at the 4th of July Breakfast in Adrian.

I had to take a picture of Chase in front of his new school for the fall. This is the new Adrian Elementary school. This will be it's second year of use. Lucky Chase gets a new school.

In the afternoon of the 4th we hiked up to Jump Creek with the boys and our friends Jake and Emily and their boys. It's such a nice little waterfall and pool. Now, that I look at it the water is kind of dirty looking, but it really is pretty, and you wouldn't think that there would be something like this out in the middle of the desert.

Here's me and Emily in the water. It was a little cold at first, but once you got wet it wasn't so bad.

The boys at Jump Creek playing in the water.

There was a guy there jumping off the rocks. I thought he was a little crazy, but it made for a neat picture and he didn't die, so that's good.

After swimming we all came home and had a BBQ. We fried stuffed bacon hamburgers, corn on the cob and more. Yum!

The boys on our trek up the mountain. We drove up the butte behind our house to watch the fireworks all through out the valley. It was pretty exciting!

We didn't quite make it all the way to the top, but we still had a really pretty view. I had made some strawberry shortcake, so we ate that as we sat and watched the fireworks. We really had a nice time.
